11.20.06 - The Crackpot show was really cool. For those of you who were there and brought out chairs and blankets, thanks for coming and being so mega. 50 kids in a backyard huddled in chairs with two kegs of beer watching comedy performed on a plywood stage lit by construction job-site type lights with an amp the size of a shoe box kicking out the jams...very Austin-like. If that sounds like something you'd like to do at your house, book them at myspace.com/crackpotcomedytour Thanks to the Crackpot gang for including me in the show. A.D. Miles and Kjell Bjorgen were also on the show. Check them out on Myspace as well. As for news, I'll be recording a CD at Lestat's in San Diego on December 12th, and there is a new cartoon in the South 40. I'm also going to try to get a job with The Onion to write some articles. "Fergies' 'lovely lady lumps' not a hit at Race for the Cure" and "Onion announces titles of articles funnier than actual articles". I have my doubts. That's it for now. Have a great Thanksgiving.
11.28.06 - The stars seemed to make it hard to read all the important news, so they're gone. sorry. I'll be doing some shows in L.A. dec. 4-9th. i'll put them on the website or myspace once i know exactly when and where. thanksgiving was pretty sweet. my grandpa and his old buddies raked me up and down the golf course. i've played before, but i'm terrible. they didn't pull any punches, and my grandpa had to make excuses for me '...never seen him play like this' and things like that. it was pretty awesome. it must feel good to be in your mid-eighties and completely dominate someone in their twenties at a physical endeavor. glad i could help. it feels good to give back.there's also a new cartoon in the south 40. enjoy that. if you're in austin, come out to cap city this week. i'm opening for one of my favorite comedians patton oswalt. as for the website itself, the art page may or may not be functioning fairly soon. so, get ready for that.
12.05.06 - The new Patton Oswalt cd will be really good. he recorded it in austin over 5 shows, and all of them were great. if the voice at the beginning saying 'ladies and gentlemen, patton oswalt!' sounds familiar, that because it's...you guessed it....frank stallone. if you also love norm macdonald , go out and buy ridiculous. it's good. i'll be in los angeles for the next week. i'm doing some shows, but i don't really know where they are, imaginary readers. so, if i see you - great. elsewise, enjoy the new cartoon.
12.12.06 - i'll be at lestat's in san diego on the 12th. if the set goes well, i will make it into a cd. i will only be selling about 50 more copies of the first cd 'hello robot'. i'll be in hollywood at the improv on thursday at 10pm if you're in town. there is a new cartoon in the south 40. it may be getting published in thatotherpaper pretty soon. i'll let you know if it does. congratulations to my cousin brian for finally proposing to his girlfriend, and congratulations to mary kate for having the good sense to say no. thanks to the martz gang and rp for letting me crash on your respective couches on this west coast jaunt. closing remarks.
12.20.06 - happy holidays, dudes. i hope things are treating you well. the shows in ventura were cancelled, and that sucks. i would have gotten to work with karen rontowski, who i like a lot. i did a showcase for the aspen comedy festival. i think i blew it because i kept saying 'how's the weather in aspen this time of year?' all throughout my set. i got to visit with my grandparents for a few days (sorry, no links to them). also, the south 40 has its first breath of fresh air outside of this site. it can be seen in thatotherpaper this week. maybe more. we'll see. they're cool guys over there. support them. as for this site, there is no new cartoon. there is only this drawing entitled 'seasons greetings'. i would use it as a card if i were you. have a good christmas or chanukah or whatever you celebrate.
